How This Issue Is Built

Each graded video-game lot for the consoles listed above that closed at Heritage Auctions and Goldin between Aug 1, 2026 and Aug 31, 2026 is counted once, on its close date, at the realized price the house publishes. Sales for systems we do not track yet are not in these totals. Grades are shown as the grader labelled them at the time of sale (WATA, CGC, VGA, or PSA; PSA acquired WATA and rebranded it PSA Video Games in October 2025). Medians are medians of individual sales. Nothing is estimated or modelled, and the issue is only revised if the archive for the month gains lots.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I see the current market?

The standing report is the live view: rolling 30-day and 90-day windows, re-rendered after every data refresh. This issue is the fixed record for one month.

Why compare against the previous month?

Because auction volume is lumpy: a signature auction or a Goldin drop in one month and not the next moves every total. The comparison column shows that swing rather than hiding it.

Where do the prices come from?

Each price is the price realized for that lot with the buyer’s premium included, the figure both auction houses publish as the final sale price. Every lot is linked.

Does this include eBay sales?

No. Only graded lots sold at Heritage Auctions and Goldin, where every result is a public record. eBay sold comps appear on each game’s detail page.

Sources

Every price in this issue is a sold result from the Heritage Auctions and Goldin video-game archives. Population counts and per-tier prices on the linked detail pages come from PSA Video Games and PriceCharting.
