Every lot that sold in Goldin’s Basketball category within the window each table names is counted once, on the day it closed, at the hammer price plus the lot’s buyer’s premium, which is the final price Goldin publishes. Grades are shown as the grader labelled them. ‘Graded singles’ are lots with a PSA, CGC, BGS, SGC or TAG grade; sealed product, signed items and memorabilia are counted in their own rows. Medians are medians of individual sales. Nothing is estimated or modelled, and nothing here describes any venue other than Goldin.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often is this page updated?
After every Goldin close that includes this category: the TCG Weekly closes on Sundays, the Weekly Auction on Thursday or Friday, and Elite events on their own dates. The page is only re-rendered when new sales have landed, so the modified date reflects a real change.
Why do the weekly totals swing so much?
Because Goldin’s calendar is lumpy. A weekly auction has a few hundred lots; an Elite or Goldin 100 event can add a seven-figure card in a single night. The comparison columns show that swing instead of smoothing it away.
Where do the prices come from?
Each price is the hammer price plus the lot’s buyer’s premium, which is the final price Goldin publishes. Every lot is linked so you can check the listing yourself.
Does this include eBay or other auction houses?
